This sweet and salty mix is a delicious and easy recipe! My daughter loved helping me with the candy and sprinkles. Its a fun activity for kids. To make it a gift item, purchase a holiday tin at Walmart or dollar store. Simply fill the tin with the Christmas Crunch, and now you have a yummy and inexpensive gift. Deliver to your doctors office, or your neighbors, and they will be delighted!
Ingredients
- Frosted Cheerios
- Chex cereal
- Peanuts
- Gingerman cookies (minis if you can find them)
- Pretzels-Waffle cut
- Red and green sprinkles
- White bark or white melting chocolate
- Christmas Tree chocolate pretzels-optional
- Green and Red M&Ms
Directions
In a large pot, start melting the white bark or chocolate on low
Stir frequently until it is all melted and smooth.
Turn off the heat, and the Cheerios, Chex, peanuts, and pretzels to the melted chocolate. 2-3 cups of each will work. If you want it super chocolatey and completely covered, add less.
Gently mix up the mixture with a large spoon until everything is coated in chocolate. Add more cereal and pretzels if you have too much chocolate left over.
Lay out a large piece of parchment paper or foil on the counter. Pour the mixture on it, spread it out, and let the chocolate start to set and cool.
Once the chocolate has started to set, I gently mix it up with my hands to break up the mixture a bit. Now its time to add the M&Ms, Gingerman cookies, sprinkles, and tree pretzels.
Now you can transfer into a large bowl or holiday tins. ENJOY!
