This salsa is a crowd pleaser. It is a nice change from plain ol’ guacamole, but still gives you all the avocado goodness. We had guests over to watch the Cowboys game last Sunday, so I knew I needed something that the majority would love. I make this all the time, even in smaller batches when we make tacos. Served with Tostitos Scoops, this salsa is definitely one you need to take to your next party!
Ingredients:
Package of cherry tomatoes
Can of corn-drained
1 can of black beans-drained
1 jalapeno
1 purple onion
3-4 avocados
Jane’s Krazy Mixed Up Seasoning
Cilantro-optional
Simply drain and add canned ingredients to a large bowl. Chop up the remaining ingredients and add to bowl. Use as little, or as much of each ingredient as you would like. I always use half of the onion and half of the can of beans. As for seasoning, I prefer Jane’s Krazy seasoning because it contains salt and garlic, which goes great with the avocados. Season to taste. I do not have a measurement, but I am heavy handed with the Jane’s. I add and then taste a couple of times to ensure it is seasoned enough for my liking. It is always best to add more as you go, since you aren’t able to take away the salt if you add too much. I have found the people either love or hate cilantro, so it is definitely optional.
After you mix everything up it is ready to eat. If I have time, I like to let it sit in the fridge and chill before I serve it.
If you’re invited to a party and need to bring a dish, this appetizer is a winner! Enjoy
XO,
Lyndsey
